Beautiful Things

11 Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, 12 saying with a loud voice,
“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain,
to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might
and honor and glory and blessing!”
13 And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying,
“To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!”
14 And the four living creatures said, “Amen!” and the elders fell down and worshiped.

Revelation 5:11-14

The process of getting missionaries to the field is a long one and can be hard on the family going and frustrating to the ones watching. Its hard to the family because they are waiting on funds, training, clearances, all kinds of things. It is hard on the ones watching because they constantly are hearing that so and so needs support to go, so and so is almost there. The temptation can be to just see someone asking for money or even to get a bad taste for missions. The reality is that so much is happening in the background while a family raises support. By background I mean, wherever they are going, things are still happening, good or bad, people are being saved to heaven or lost to hell. The need for the individual or family is just as great if not greater because they are not there yet and at the end of the day church work requires the body of Christ to make it happen. Missions is church work. The local church sends, believers(the body, local and universal) supports in prayer and finances. Missionaries cannot go if people do not send and provide. It cannot wait till they get there, as they never will if you don’t get them there, and any amount is what they need(never to small or to much). We pray for your support and cherish it.

While we are raising support, what is happening in Uganda?

Please take a few minutes to watch the videos below. They will give a good idea of what is happening in Uganda right now.

This is where we are going to work.
Just yesterday there was a big Youth conference in the Yumbe District. You can hear them sing to Yahweh.
Our work will not be limited to Uganda, but will stretch to Northern Sudan
Hear from Jacob and Carol directly on the need for help.

  1. Holy words of our faith handed down to this age,
    Came to us through sacrifice;
    Oh, heed the faithful words of Christ

    Martyr’s blood stains each page
    They have died for this faith
    Hear them cry through the years
    Heed these words and hold them dear.

    ANCIENT WORDS EVER TRUE,
    CHANGING ME AND CHANGING YOU;
    WE HAVE COME WITH OPEN HEARTS,
    OH, LET THE ANCIENT WORDS IMPART.

  2. Carol’s and my heart are touched to pray even more fervently after reading this well written appeal. We are honored to be partners with you in this Great Commission. The way you talked about giving is spot on–we should never be ashamed to ask that people invest in the Great Commission and people should not grow weary in having the need put before them. It’s good, too, that you can give them “a thousand pictures” via videos to make their imaginations come alive.
