Serving with Reaching Africa's Unreached in Uganda

Trust in the Lord in all things.

Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in Yahweh with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.”

One of the problems we have been faced with is one we did not anticipate when we planned to head back to Uganda. When we first made the decision to go back, I fully believed we would be back in just a year or two. Many things went on and as we left Graniteville and moved to the upstate, we found a new issue of age. When we committed to go all of my kids minus the oldest were still home, still in school, and had several years to go. Fast forward to now and my oldest is on her own, my next one is out of high school and working full time, but still at home. The next is in college and has just moved out. The next (yes, there is that many) is graduating high school this year. The last 3 still have years to go. Beyond funds, we couldn’t go without knowing that our older kids could either go with us or be able to care for themselves. This has greatly hindered our going, mostly because I had no idea how long that would take. Sara and I have stress greatly over what to do to be the best stewards of the support give towards our ministry in Uganda. We were close to resigning as we did not see another way forward. In stepped ABWE.

ABWE has been such a blessing from the very start. They have encouraged us in going, given us many relationships, helped us grow as believers and missionaries. They have also walked with us during a very hard season of separation and wandering. I cannot say enough about them. They have given the opportunity to move from full time missionaries to reoccurring short termers. Essentially we will plan and take one to two trips a year to Uganda to do teaching and encouraging of rural pastors along side the team at Reaching Africa’s Unreached. We will work along side Jacob and Carol and the Langworthys! Aaron and Amanda have raised all their support and have moved to Uganda. They have been jumped in and are in full go.

Our first trip to Uganda will be in late March for several weeks. We will get to spend Easter there and celebrate the risen Lord with our Ugandan brothers and sisters. I don’t have the full itinerary yet, but knowing Jacob he will have us busy busy. We would covet your prayers going forward, both for preparation and logistics, as well as, for our time there. As far as finances go, all the money that has been given to us is in an account with ABWE so those funds will cover our trip. Thank you!

One of the gifts of Aaron Langworthy is video stories. So here are few pictures and videos of what has been happening in Northern Uganda.

RAU crew went to meet with Charles, one of the many dedicated Christians that are working towards brining to gospel to the Aringa.

A graduation ceremony of students who graduated from a 13 book biblical studies course. These people are in the Bidi Bidi refugee camp. Many are first generation Muslim back ground believers. Many are from DRC, Sudan, and other countries.

Distribution of bibles to Bidi Bidi. RAU desires to be a distribution hub of bibles and literature in Northern Uganda. Books, especially good theological books, are hard to come by.

A visit to the metu mountains. A place that is geographically hard to reach.

Yumbe youth conference. 75% of Uganda is under the age of 16.

Needless to say, they stay busy about the Lord’s work. We look forward to taking part in this during our trip. The Lord has blessed us mightly with a wonderful church, Siloam Baptist Church, a great mission organization in ABWE, and that He can take a messy start and do great things with it. If you have questions, are interested in missions, or would like us to come and speak your church or group feel free to reach out. ben.pryce@abwego.org
